Wine, expecially muscat wine, has always been part of Samos's history, since 1200 before Christ, the local community planted fieldes with vines. Bottles certificated "Samos" guarantee the origin of this wine; only from white pick grapes of Ambelos mountainside vineyards. this special product has been under control by the cooperative of wine-producing of Samos since was founded in 1934. The reason why this wine has been protected, is to preserve wine's quality and invest in new technologies. The cooperative of wine_producing operate throught two wine-producing society in Malagari and karlovassi; most of this wine is exportated in Europe and America. Olive

Oil of olive has been the first agriculture product exported from Samos; during the first half of XX century there were about 66 olives press in Samos. The traditional processing of pressing olives to get oil, has been quickly replaced by meccanic oil mills, this machine oparate by the power of centrifugal energies, the first step is to get an olive paste, after the combination of water and the centrifugal power of the machine, the result is a tasty and fragrant biological oil of olive. From this production is also possible to get olives caviar,olives in brine,and soap.

Honey

Honey is a sweet food made by bees using nectar from flowers. Honey bees form nectar into honey by a process of regurgitation and store it as a primary food source in wax honeycombs inside the beehive. Beekeeping practices encourage overproduction of honey so that the excess can be taken without endangering the bee colony. Honey has a long history of human consumption and is used in various foods and beverages as a sweetener and flavoring. It also has a role in religion and symbolism. Flavors of honey vary based on the nectar source, and various types and grades of honey are available. The biodiversity of Samos's island ground offer a large range of flavours and perfumes,this conditions helps to get a hight quality of biological honey. Local producers take care of packaging with accuracy and the direct sales. The taste, reminds the colour of Mediterranean vegetation, the perfumes of lavender,eucalyptus, aromatic erbs,citrus fruits, and chestnut reminds the fragrances of Samos's island.
